Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) is a public law school in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) is a state university which provides legal education in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also holds a status of the main research institution in the sphere of law. TSUL was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated on 28th of June 2013. TSUL is the first University in the Republic of Uzbekistan which started to deliver education based on module system. TSUL delivers both bachelor and masters programs. Bachelor program lasts for 4 years and masters 1 years. There are five bachelor programs namely: public law and governance; private law; business law; criminal law; international law. Master of law programs are: 5A240108 - public law and governance; 5A240109 - labor law; 5A240116 - applying theory and practice of criminal law; 5A240118 - law and busines; 5A240119 - law and information technologies; 5A240120 - financial-legal monitoring.

TSUL also delivers a postgraduate program (PhD). The postgraduate students are employed by TSUL as senior research fellows.

Academics

TSUL has 19 departments where 13 departments are specialised in various areas of law. Academic staff of TSUL is around of 192 people. A number of staff holds PhD degree in law and LLM degrees obtained from the Universities of US and UK, Japan. 14 modules are taught in English.

The TSUL offers two degrees.

  • Bachelor of Law is the basic degree offered by the TSUL. Students can choose a number of specializations and follow a course of four years to get their degree. With the completion of the state exams, graduates acquire a diploma that is a professional qualification.
  • Master of Laws is a one-year graduate degree in which law graduates can specialize in such programs as public law and governance; labor law; applying theory and practice of criminal law; law and busines; law and information technologies; financial-legal monitoring.

Tashkent State University of Law provides full-time undergraduate, full-time graduate, and part-time postgraduate programs.

Campus

The campus of TSUL is in downtown Tashkent close to government buildings and the courts. Its central location gives graduates and professors extraordinary access to government offices and the offices of international non-governmental organizations.

Alumni

TSUL boasts the most prestigious alumni in Uzbekistan with several present and former ministers who are graduates, the majority of the judiciary, and many prominent statesmen.
