Tarentola substituta (English name: São Vicente wall gecko) is a species of geckos in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands.[1]

The species are found in the island of São Vicente, it may have introduced to the neighboring island of Santo Antão.[1]

Taxonomy

The subspecies were elevated from Tarentola caboverdiana substituta by Vasconcelos, Perera, Geniez, Harris & Carranza en 2012.[2]
