Tamil Nadu Polytechnic College (TNPTC), Madurai, is an Autonomous institution located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in the year 1946 with the nomenclature of Dravida polytechnic. Subsequently, the name was changed to Tamil Nadu Polytechnic. A separate Department for Technical Education was created in the year 1957 by State Government, and this polytechnic came under the control of Directorate of Technical Education. Institute got the Autonomous status in the academic year 1979-1980.It is the First Polytechnic College in Tamil Nadu to get the Status.
