History

The first field that was used in the current work of the city San Martin Square, formerly known as Carlos Zabala by villagers then Perico Station. The first news we have about a sporting institution dedicated to soccer practice in the then Perico Station, dates back to August 26, 1932, the date on which the legislature of the province, the force of law punishable by a donation of $200 national currency for Club Atlético Perico Station, awarded by the provincial government. The law in question is countersigned by the president of the HCD, and R. Pérez Bidondo Alisedo (secretary), as shown in the document found in the gallery in the recall. The first pitch for the sport of football, I run into what is now the main town square called Plaza San Martin, formerly called Carlos Zabala and which were carried out only friendly matches between integrated teams by the then inhabitants village Perico Station. The year was 1942, in the village there was a club called Perico Racing Club, headed by Mr. Leandro Vaca, barber profession, and the collaboration of Don Filomeno Cáceres, an employee of the plant belonging to the Flia. Lamas. After a year, these two friends distancing occurs, and Don Filomeno Cáceres founded a summer club called Club Workshops, which is the name chosen for having made for the first time in a garage owned by Don Napoleon of Moral (Cañemo store). Located on Calle San Martin, where it is now The Tucumana business, start working on the possibility of making this summer club an institution with applicable statutes.
