Thomas Joseph "T.J." Allard (born January 23, 1979) is an American radio personality, reality show personality, television host, producer and voice actor. Allard started his career as a radio DJ in upstate New York and became more widely known after winning Fox's Good Day Live New York City talent search.[1]

Career

Early career

Allard was born in Utica, New York, and studied at SUNY Polytechnic Institute[2] Allard held NCAA Division III football records from his years at Hartwick College, but in a 2004 interview stated, "I can't believe I hold any records there anymore, it was over 10 years ago, I give it 1 more year, then they will find out it's all a mistake, and take my name down."[3] He was inducted into "The Mohawk Valley Hall of Fame"[4] in 2004. Also while at Hartwick College he became a brother of the Gamma Zeta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.[5]

Allard moved to New York City to work for McKinsey & Company, but left to become a video game designer. He joined Ubisoft, where he worked on Batman Vengeance, Tarzan and a number of other titles. In 2000, while working for the French video game publisher Gameloft, Allard created an online video game broadcasting channel called GBTV.[3]

Acting, voice acting and radio

Allard won Fox's Good Day Live New York City talent search in 2004. As a result of the contest, he received a job on the air for the nationally syndicated show as the New York correspondent.[1] Since then Allard has hosted a number of national television shows including: 3 Men & A Chick Flick, Best Game Ever, Play Value, et al. As an actor, Allard appeared in the made-for-TV movie Combat Jump and various commercials, and had a small part in All My Children.[3] Voiceover credits include commercials and the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In 2011 Allard appeared on Bloomberg TV's weekly show Innovators.

Allard has twice been part of an Emmy Award-winning production team: in 2013 in the "Societal Concerns Program/Special" category for George to the Rescue,[6] and in 2014 in the "Human Interest: Program/Special" category for the same series.[7]
