Swarndih (Hindi: स्वर्णड़ीह pronounced IPA: [swarnaadeehː]), formerly called Sondiha, also known as Swarndih, is one of the well cooperated village, and a neat and clean village. Swarndih is known to have existed as a village since 1932. In 1950, Swarndih became an important political center. Swarndih has got its own pond owned publicly by the villagers and managed by the villagers committee. Committee is formed by youths of the villagers and reviewed periodically when needed. Swarndih is famous around for the fish selling and auctions carried out in this village with the increase with demand.
Festival Celebrations
Every new year starts with Saraswati puja celebration , youths gather and arrange idol od Saraswati Maaa and people from entire village visit to worship Goddess Saraswati known for blessing of Education. Later the idol is immersed in the pond of the village.
Holi is celebrated in traditional way , people gather with all their love and sing traditional songs with their musical instruments.This practice is carried out by youths as well and some elder personalities.
Durga Puja is celebrated in almost every house of this village All the Hindu festivals are celebrated in most glorious way every year. One of the most major festival Chhath is celebrated on bank of the irrigation river located power grid.
