Sviatoslav (Mykhailovitch) Piskun (Ukrainian: Святослав Михайлович Піскун, born March 8, 1959, - Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) - Ukrainian political activist, three times General Prosecutor of Ukraine; general lieutenant of the tax police; first State Class Counselor of Justice, Head of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine, Vice-President of the International Fund of Lawyers Ukraine, member of the High Council of Justice of Ukraine.

Career

Higher Education: in 1983 graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Faculty of Law.

1984 -1988 yy.. - Senior Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of Irpin city, Kyiv region. 1988-1990 yy.. - Instructor in the organizational department of Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Irpin city.

1990-1997 yy.. - Prosecutor of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor-Criminologist of Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv, Deputy Prosecutor of Kyiv-Svyatoshin District, Deputy Prosecutor of the Irpin city, Head of the Investigation of the Combating Organized Crime Department of the Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv Region.

Since 1997 - was working at the State Tax Administration of Ukraine as the Chief of the Investigation Department.

Since 05 to 07. 2002 - Deputy Head, Chief of the Investigation Department of Tax Militia of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine.

Since July 6, 2002 to 10. 2003 - the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Since February 2004 to 12.2004 - Deputy Secretary of the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine.

Since December 10, 2004 to October 14, 2005 - the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Since March 2006 - People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 5th convocation, Deputy Chairman of Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

On April 26, 2007 was reinstated as General Prosecutor of Ukraine. On May 24, 2007, by decree 469/2007 was dismissed by President Viktor Yushchenko as General Prosecutor of Ukraine.

Since 2007 to 2012 - People's Deputy of Ukraine of VI convocation. Member of the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

April 24, 2009 The District Administrative Court of Kyiv had abolished the decree of President Viktor Yushchenko dated May 24, 2007, which declared the presidential decree to reinstate Sviatoslav Piskun as the General Prosecutor of Ukraine. Despite this, the Court refused to consider this claim about the restitution as general prosecutor.

On May 27, 2016, without a dissentient voice was elected by delegates of the VIII Congress of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine as the Head of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine. The number of members is more than 35 thousand lawyers of Ukraine (judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries, legal advisers). The Union of Lawyers of Ukraine is a powerful public association of lawyers of Ukraine, which operates in all regions of Ukraine.

Prior to this election, Sviatoslav Piskun acted as Deputy Head of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine.

Active member of the World Jurist Alliance, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.

Awarded the orders: Demetrius of Thessalonica IV degree, "Nativity of Christ" II century.

Political activity

October 3, 2014, The Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine ordered the Central Election Commission of Ukraine to register Sviatoslav Piskun as a candidate for people`s deputy of parliament at the extraordinary parliamentary elections from the party of Sergei Tigipko "Sylna Ukraina" (“Strong Ukraine”). Due to the fact that Sergei Tigipko's party "Sylna Ukraina" (“Strong Ukraine”) was not elected to parliament, this relation was suspended.

Mother - Tatyana Leonidovna (in girlhood - Sviatets).

Wife - Svitlana (Sevast'yanivna) (born 1962, Manevichi, Volyn region) - lawyer, entrepreneur.

Children:

Daughter - Tatiana (after marriage - Ivashchenko) (born in 1983)

Son - Sviatoslav (born in 2000).
