Sus al-Aksa

Sus al-Aksa or Sus al-Aqsa (Arabic for "Sus the Remote") was a town in North Africa, in what is now Morocco. It was located near modern Tangier and was part of a trade network connecting the Straits of Gibraltar with Kairouan, Libya and Egypt. It is mentioned in, among other works, the Book of Roads and Kingdoms by ibn Khordadbeh, who identifies it as a layover point for Jews merchants known as the susRadhanites.
