Sung Nak-yang

Sung Nak-yang (born 1964) is a South Korean businessman and a former CEO of Yahoo! Korea.

Sung holds a chemical engineering degree from Yonsei University. Upon graduation, he worked for three years in the trading department of Samsung Corporation. Afterwards, he received an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. After returning to Korea in 1996, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and Accenture. He was hired by Yahoo! Korea in December 2004. He served as COO before getting promoted to CEO in October 2005. He resigned in May 2007, citing disagreement between him and the company's U.S. headquarters over the Korean branch's operations.[1]
