Suhel Nafar is an artist, musician, filmmaker and creative director. Recently he was a music programmer and media strategist at the Palestine Music Expo (PMX). At this year’s PMX he created, directed and produced Lit Tent, an online music show coming out this Fall. In 2016 Nafar helped launch Complex Snapchat Discover channel, the fastest growing platform in the history of Complex Networks. That same year he was also an artist-in-residence at New York University, co-produced and did the GFX for the award winning feature, Junction 48.

Nafar also co-founded and is a member of DAM, the first Hip Hop crew in the Middle East, which launched in the late 90s and was among the first to rap in Arabic. Their story was featured in the award-winning documentary, Slingshot Hip Hop, which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and made its broadcast debut on the Sundance Channel. His video/film works have been featured internationally including at the Mori Art Museum, Japan; TIFF Kids International Film Festival; Alfilm, Berlin; La Matatena, Mexico and the Asiana International Short Film Festival.
