StoreDot
StoreDot is an Israeli lithium-ion battery company based in Herzliya.
History and technology
StoreDot was founded by CEO Doron Myerdorf and his partners in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2012.[1][2]
In 2014, the company demonstrated a smartphone battery that charged within 30 seconds. In the same year, it announced that it had started working on a technology called multifunction electrode (MFE), a combination of a conductive polymer and metal oxide, that would enable future electric vehicles to fully charge in five minutes.[3]
As of 2018, StoreDot is planning to build a battery manufacturing facility in the United States.[4]
Ownership
StoreDot lists BP Ventures, Daimler, Samsung Ventures, China-based Lucion Venture Capital Group and Roman Abramovich as some of its investors.[1][5][6] StoreDot was BP's first investment in an Israeli company.[2]
