Stephen Savage (director)

Stephen Savage is an American filmmaker, screenwriter and composer.

Savage worked on creative aspects of the romantic comedy "Cosmic Radio", starring Michael Madsen and Irene Bedard. The film was successful at the 2008 Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Savage wrote produced, and or directed four more feature films, including the 2011 thriller "Legacy", starring Wolfgang Bodison ("A Few Good Men", Joe Somebody") and Conor O'Farrell (HBO's The Pacific", "Stir Of Echoes"), and two films for Time Warner Cable's INdTV, "The Hunter's Moon" starring Wes Studi, and "Tide Of The Whispering Eye". His Rock climbing dramady "Vertical" was named Best International Film at the 2015 London International Film Festival. He is also the founder and director of the Idyllwild International Festival Of Cinema, occurring every January in Idyllwild, California. Stephen is currently working on an upcoming superhero movie, with rising actor josh emerson entitled “venom: a xxx parody”. The movie is slated for release in 2018. Savage is greenlit for 3 films from 2018 to 2021. "The Wind of Heaven", with an all-star cast, is a modern day western revolving around returning warriors and the problems of PTSD, with a subplot involving the slaughter of wild horses in the US. "Ulysses Coyote" is a dramedy which will be filmed in both Londo, UK, and Joshua Tree, California. And "Monkey Grip", a complex crime drama set for production in 2020.
