St. Anthony's College is an educational institution in the north eastern part of India. The Salesians of Don Bosco, an International Society founded by St John Bosco (1815–1888) in Italy, has more than 17,000 members who are known as Salesians of Don Bosco. They are in present 132 countries, and specialize in education and social service institutions for youth. Founded in 1934, St. Anthony’s College has the distinction being the first institution of higher learning established by the Salesians world-wide. At present, it is under the leadership of Principal, Br. (Dr.) Albert Longley Dkhar, SDB.

Alumni Association

The St Anthony’s College, Shillong, Alumni Association (SACSAA) is made up of past students who have organized themselves into an association attached to the college.

Noted alumni

In 1971, when Gauhati University had jurisdiction over entire undivided Assam, Nurul Islam Laskar, a student of St Anthony's College, topped the list of all students graduating that year and winning a gold medal for his performance.
