St. Michael the Archangel Church (Cannes)
St. Michael the Archangel Church, Cannes is a Russian Orthodox church in Cannes, France.
The church was designed by the architect Louis Nouveau at the 19th century. It has a Greek cross design and a varnished tile roof. The Russian empress Maria Alexandrovna, wife of the Czar Alexander II, would sometimes go to Cannes in the winter, and commissioned the church.
After living as a white émigré in Antibes, Duke Peter Alexandrovich of Oldenburg was laid to rest in the crypt of the church.
