St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Sulthan Bathery is an educational institution located in Sultan Bathery, Wayanad district. It is the First Certified English school in Wayanad. His Excellency Most. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas, the Bishop of Bathery is the Manager and Patron of the School. Very Rev. Msgr. Mathew Arambankudy and Msgr. Dr. Thomas Kanjiramukalil are the Co-patrons of the School. St.Joseph's School is a private co-educational institution owned and managed by the Malankara Catholic Diocese of Bathery. The inception of the school was in 1977, as a private tuition centre. The institution grew up as a Recognised English School with L.P.Section in 1980 and it was raised to the status of a U.P.School and High School in 1984, HSS in 2002. Admission is open to all students according to availability irrespective of their caste, creed or religion and each one's religious freedom is respected.
