The St. Joseph's Cathedral[1] (Spanish: Catedral San José) Also Melipilla Cathedral Is the name that receives a religious building of the catholic church, that is in the city of Melipilla[2] in front of the Place of Arms of the city in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago in the South American country of Chile.

It is the main church or mother of the Diocese of Melipilla (Diocese Melipillensis) that was created by the then Pope John Paul II in 1991.

It was inaugurated on April 30, 1992, in the same place that occupied the old temple that was built in the eighteenth century, and was destroyed by the earthquake of 1985.[3]
