Shriniwas Ganesh Sardesai (19071996)[1] popularly known as S.G. Sardesai was an Indian nationalist from Maharashtra and one of the great communist leaders produced by the communist movement in India. He is author of the book Progress and conservatism in ancient India famous for his profound theoretical analysis.[2] He was the Central Executive Committee of pre-split Communist Party of India during the Indo-china conflict.[3]
