Sowmya Rao Nadig (born 29 September 1992) in Shimoga, Karnataka is an Indian film and television actress. She made her television Tamil debut in Valli as Uma Maheswari on Sun TV and is currently portraying the roles of Saakshi in the series Roja on Sun TV, and Sathya in Nenjam Marappathillai on Star Vijay.She played the role of Aditi in the Zee Kannada television series Pattedari Prathipa.

Personal life

Sowmya Rao Nadig was born in Shimoga, Karnataka, India. She is fluent in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and English. She was schooled at Government Girls High School, Shikaripur, Karnataka and then graduated from Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka.

Career

Sowmya Rao Nadig played the role of Aditi in the Zee Kannada television series Pattedari Prathipa. She became known after playing the lead role of Uma Maheshwari in Valli, as Sathya in Nenjam Marappathillai, and as Saakshi in Roja, which aired on Star Vijay and SUN TV respectively.
