Smith's Wood Academy (formerly Smith's Wood Sports College andformerly Smith's Wood School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Smith's Wood in the West Midlands of England.[1]

In April 2017 Smith's Wood School became part of the Fairfax Multi Academy Trust, Mr Bird became the Executive Head. Fairfax School and Bournville School are also a member of the Fairfax Multi Academy Trust, along with Erdington Academy.


It is a community school administered by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. Smith's Wood School was awarded specialist Sports College status in September 2006 and was renamed Smith's Wood Sports College.

Smith's Wood Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.[2]
