Sirius XM Hits 1 is a Top 40 radio station on Sirius XM Radio channel 2 and Dish Network channels 6002 and 099-02 (099-02 is only for Hopper users). It plays no commercials. The channel was formerly known as US-1 until 2004. The name is a take-off of VH1, whose name was originally an abbreviation of "Video Hits 1". Vh1 Satellite Radio once existed on XM but the channel was discontinued prior to the merger.

Following the merger, SiriusXM Hits 1 programming simulcasted on XM 20 On 20 from 9 p.m. to 12 Noon Eastern for 2 years, where it was announced as Sirius XM Hits 1 On 20 on 20.[1]

On May 4, 2011, at 12:01am EST, Hits 1 moved to channel 2 for Sirius radios, XM radios, and on SiriusXM Online. On Dish Network, SiriusXM Hits 1 is carried on channels 6002 and 099-02.

Current Programs

  • Morning Mash Up - Hits 1's dedicated live breakfast show. Airing live weekdays from 6am to noon with Ryan Sampson, Nicole Ryan and Stanley T. Mini Morning Mash Up airs Saturday at 10am.
  • SiriusXM Hits 1 - Non-stop hit music. Weekdays with Spyder Harrison 12pm-5pm, Kid Kelly 5pm-7pm & Mikey Piff 11pm-3am.
  • WutChuWant Countdown - Weeknightly at 10pm, all the three hosts (listed above) will join together to count down the biggest songs of the moment.
  • The Weekend Countdown - Although the name implies a countdown show, it's formatted as a Saturday breakfast show. Spider Harrison counts down the top 45 songs of the week, based on Facebook comments, Tweets, calls (to 1-877-MY-HITS-1), and the airplay on Hits 1. The remaining two hosts (also listed above) (alongside the Morning Mash Up team) updates listeners of the latest movies, trends, viral videos and more. Live every Saturday 6am-9am.
  • #YouTube15 - YouTuber Jenna Marbles counts down the 15 most watched emerging and breakout songs on YouTube. Live every Friday at 6pm.
  • Entertainment 4-1-1 - Nicole Ryan provides the latest in music, movies, TV and celebrities at 11 minutes after every hour.
  • Ear Poppin' New Music - One new song that listeners should know gets highlighted every hour.

HitBound

HitBound is a weekly program airing on Saturday at 9am and Sunday at 12pm highlighting new music on SiriusXM Hits 1.[2] HitBound is primarily hosted by Mikey Piff but will occasionally feature guest hosts (usually artists with music featured on the show).

Songs that debut on SiriusXM Hits 1 primarily start airing on HitBound before "graduating" to The Weekend Countdown.

On occasion, popular celebrities or artists will guest host The Weekend Countdown and HitBound (promoted as a "Weekend Takeover"). Notable HitBound guest hosts include Timeflies,[3] Jason Derulo[4] and Britney Spears (as a "Weekend Takeover"[5]).
