Siddhagad literally 'Valour Fort' is a small fort located in Thane District, in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra.(Google)

Geography

Siddhagad fort is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Murbad . The fort stands 838 metres (2,749 ft) above sea level and is built on a spur which overlooks the road of the village of Borwadi .

History

Social reformer and Indian freedom fighter, Veer Hutatma Kotwal was killed at Siddagad waterfall R. Hall and Stafford on 2 January 1943 along with his colleague Hiraji Patil


Tourism

Siddhagad is usually visited as a day-trip from Khanivare, Narivali or Jambhurde.

No public transpor goes there. You can go to the waterfall by your own vehicle. You can trek the fort from Khanivare or else narivali.
