Shelton Theater

The Shelton Theater is a non-profit theater in the Union Square District of San Francisco, California.

It was founded in its current location at 533 Sutter St, San Francisco, CA 94102 in 1993 by Matt Shelton.[1]

There are two stages, with a seating capacity of 75 and 55 seats on the lower level. The theater hosts live performances of musicals, narrative plays, improvisational theatre, poetry, solo performances, and concerts.

The Shelton Theater also offers acting classes that include training on script analysis and post method adaptation techniques. Notable staff members include Oleg Lipstin, who instructs students at The Shelton Theater, as well as in Paris and Moscow.

Works

The Shelton Theater produces live scripted theatre, improv, stand up comedy, poetry readings, live music, film screenings and fine art installations. Training is also offered in the dramatic arts.
