Sharon Eubank

Sharon Eubank (born October 1963) has been the first counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since April 2017. She also serves as director of LDS Charities.
Eubank was born in Redding, California to Mark Eubank and his wife, Jean. Mark Eubank later worked for many years as a meteorologist for KSL. Sharon Eubank was mainly raised in Bountiful, Utah. She served as a missionary for the LDS Church in Finland. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Brigham Young University (BYU). After her graduation from BYU she worked as a teacher of English in Japan. She also worked for four years as a staff aid to U.S. senators Alan Simpson and Jake Garn in their Washington D.C. offices. For seven years, she was the co-owner of a store selling educational toys and games in Provo, Utah.
Eubank has worked for the LDS Church's Welfare Department since 1998. Early in her career she oversaw the establishment of LDS employment offices in Africa and Europe. She took a hiatus from LDS Church employment and lived in Paris, France from 2005 to 2007. She then became the head of the LDS Charities' wheelchair initiative. In 2008 she became the regional director of LDS Charities for the Middle East. She became the worldwide director of LDS Charities in 2011.
From 2008 to 2012, Eubank served on the Relief Society General Board. She has also served in the church as both a ward Young Women and Relief Society president.
