Sha'r Awtar

Sha'r Awtar (Musnad: 𐩦𐩲𐩧𐩣 𐩱𐩥𐩩𐩧𐩣) was a king from the Hashid tribe related to Banu Hamdan which took control over the Kingdom of Saba'. He led many campaigns against Hadhramaut and Axum in which he managed to defeat them. An inscription dated to 235 CE cites him as fighting the "Kindah confederation tribes at Qarayat al-Fau (Dhat Kahl) as they encroached on Yemen from central Arabia."[1]
