The Senate of Jordan is the upper house of the Jordanian parliament which, along with the House of Representatives forms the legislature of Jordan.[1] All the Senate members of the country are chosen by the king of Jordan in a royal decree, but must follow the terms from Constitution of Jordan. The Speaker of the Senate has a term of two years which can be renewed. A regular Member of the Senate though has a term of four years which can also be renewable as well. The meetings of the Senate are valid as long as everyone is there at the meeting. The decisions they make are determined by the number of votes, not including the Speaker. But if there is a tie in the votes the Speaker may take a vote.[2]
