The Madeira rockfish (Scorpaena maderensis) is a species of rockfish found in the eastern central Atlantic Ocean and the western Mediterranean in waters between 20 and 40 metres deep.[1] This species reaches a length of 14 centimetres (5.5 in) SL.[2] The species was described by Achille Valenciennes in 1833 and first described it in the Madeira Islands.
