SciQuest conducted an IPO in 1999 following its establishment in 1995 as a B2B eCommerce exchange.[2] In 2001, SciQuest transitioned from a B2B exchange company into eProcurement software and supplier enablement platforms.[3]access denied SciQuest was taken private in 2004 to continue its move into eProcurement, inventory management and accounts payable automation. SciQuest completed an IPO in September, 2010 raising approximately $57 million.[4][5][6] SciQuest was taken private in June 2016 as part of an acquisition by Accel-KKR, a private equity firm headquartered in Menlo Park, CA. Robert Bonavito became CEO of SciQuest in September 2016, bringing 30+ years of leadership in the procurement and sourcing software space.[7] Vic Chynoweth joined the company as CFO, in May 2018.[8]

In Q1 of 2017, SciQuest underwent a rebranding, emerging as "JAGGAER" with a more directed focus on a complete, integrated Source-to-Pay solutions suite, coupled with Advanced Sourcing and Chemical Inventory Management.[9][10] Along with the name change, the company expanded its market focus to manufacturing, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, retail, education, life sciences, logistics and public sector.[11] In Q4 of 2017, Jaggaer acquired spend management company BravoSolution,[12] and entered into a joint venture with UAE based Tejari. Gartner, Inc. has named JAGGEAR (Advantage) highest for ability to execute in its 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Strategic Sourcing Application Suites.”[13] In early 2018, JAGGAER was also named as a Leader in Gartner, Inc’s 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Procure-to-Pay Suites.”[14]
