Scarred by Beauty
Scarred by Beauty is a Danish hardcore band from Copenhagen, Denmark, formed in 2006.
The band released their first Demo in 2008 and in 2009 they released their We Swim EP, which propelled the band forward and won an award for Talent of the Year at Danish Metal Awards 2009. Scarred by Beauty released their self-financed debut album Sutra in June 2011.
Since 2009 Scarred by Beauty has become one of the most touring bands in Denmark, spending more and more time on the road each year.
The band has toured Europe several times, UK and China. The band has supported many internationally artists such as The Black Dahlia Murder, I Killed The Prom Queen, Gojira and Meshuggah. In 2011 alone the band completed three European tours and one Danish tour and in 2012 Scarred by Beauty, besides touring Europe and UK, made it all the way to China. The band toured in China with Danish band The Kandidate, and the tour included shows at the Shanghai MIDI Festival.
Scarred by Beauty signed a single album deal with Mighty Music/Target Distribution for the release of their album debut Sutra in 2011. In 2012 the band signed a management contract for Scandinavia with Danish 3rd Tsunami Agency.
With German Redfield Records on board as label, German Seaside Touring as booking agent and Danish 3rd Tsunami Agency as management Scarred by Beauty is positioned and ready to follow through with their passion and dedication to music and life as a touring band. Through relentless touring and with a genuine and irrepressible DIY spirit the young band has established themselves as a strong band, now taking their first steps in the professional part of their career. Scarred by Beauty holds an impressive track record of tours. The band has been almost everywhere in Europe and UK, China and South East Asia. The band’s intense touring includes headline shows, but also successful shows as support for international artists and festival appearances.
Scarred by Beauty’s new album Cape Zero (red. Released September 6) is their second full-length and has a hard-hitting nerve best described as modern hardcore and metal. The album is a testament to Scarred by Beauty’s DIY approach to their professional career as they have been involved and have had hands on everything from producing, mixing, mastering to the artwork themselves.
