Sherbaz Khan

Sherbaz Khan, also known as Baz Khan,[1] was a leader of the Dhund -Abbasi tribe in the Hazara Region of colonial India during the time of the British Raj. Dhund Abbasi is a tribe which comes from the uncle of Muhammad, namely Abbas. Sherbaz Khan planned to attack the British settlement of Murree in July 1857 during the uprising against British colonial rule - with a force of 300 men, but his plans were leaked to the British and his plans were thwarted, and he along with his sons were captured by the British. He was subsequently tried, sentenced and hanged and his 3 sons placed in front of cannons and shot to bits. Sardar Baz Khan desendants are Currently residing in the area of Murree named Gul Abad Kashmiri Bazar. .
