Sandeep or Sundeep (Devanagari: सन्दीप् sandīp or संदीप् saṃdīp) is a common Indian given name.Sundeep means light of the Sun or one which gives light in day (Sun) and light in night ( deep or diya or lantern ). Overall the name means Enlightenment and person with these name are considered visionaries spreading light of knowledge in the world around them. The name may be derived either from the Sanskrit saṃdīpa, or from the name of Sandipani Muni (Sāndīpani), the guru of Krishna.
