Samira Nandi Marques Vera-Cruz (born 11 September 1990) is a Cape Verdean actress, producer and an editor.

Biography

She has a Cape Verdean and an Angolan parent. She grew up in the cities of Mindelo, Praia and Lisbon, the latter in Portugal.

She finished her course in Film Studies and a minor in Global Communications at the American University of Paris in 2013.[1]

She started her professional life as a journalist at Agência Cabo-verdiana de Imagens (ACI = Capeverdean Images Agency) and later as an account manager at Greenstudio in Praia on Santiago Island.

She went to Angola in early 2014 and worked for a year as an audiovisual producer of Muxima Filmes in the city of Luanda.

She returned to Cape Verde, where she worked for a few months at Kriolscope, as executive producer, she appeared in a short film Buska Santu in 2016,[2] the film was screened at the CVIFF.[3] and the Cinema do Plateau International Festival[4][5]
