S. C. Gwynne is an American nonfiction writer.

Life

He was educated at The Hill School.[1] He attended Princeton University and graduated in 1974.[2] He also has a master's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied under novelist John Barth[3] He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

He worked for 'Time magazine, and is senior editor at Texas Monthly.[4][5] He lives in Austin, Texas.
