Richard D. Heinz (born May 30, 1955 in Essex, Ontario) is a former General Manager of the San Jose Barracuda. He went on to built the most powerful AHL team known to man, only to be banned for cheating the system before his team faltered in the Western Conference Championship. He then abandoned his team to take his talents to St. Louis where he is in search of someone to carry him to a Stanley Cup. His chemistry formed with fellow Barracuda teammate Jacob Kaplan was unmatched by any other duo in the entire AHL. However, towards the end of Heinz’s AHL career, Kaplan (Jkrap123) fell into alcoholism, and missed the final games of the Western Conference Finals.
