Richmond West, Winnipeg

Richmond West is a suburb in southwest Winnipeg, Manitoba. Richmond West was originally part of the Rural Municipality of Fort Garry, Winnipeg which was incorporated in 1912. On January 1, 1972 Fort Garry legally became part of the City of Winnipeg.

Richmond West is located north of the Winnipeg perimeter highway, east of Waverley Street, west of Pembina Highway and south of the lot north of the property line along Craigmohr drive and Colebrook drive. Further, the Letellier line of Canadian National Railways’ goes from north to south along the east side of its boundary and to Letellier, Manitoba.

Richmond West expanded from the south starting in the 1980s and 1990s expanding north during the lat 1990's and 2000's. There are some commercial and industrial property along Pembina Highway and the Winnipeg perimeter highway.
