Remi Kabaka Jr.

Remi Kabaka "Jr." is a music producer, art director and percussionist, known to be the voice of Russel Hobbs,[1] character the drummer of British virtual band, Gorillaz. He also created and performs as part of Gorillaz Sound System.[2][3]

Career

Along with his work with Gorillaz, Kabaka has collaborated further with the band's frontman Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett on other projects including DRC, Africa Express,[4] and the Bobby Womack's album, The Bravest Man in the Universe.[5][6]

Kabaka is also a manager of Steve Lazarides's London art gallery, which regularly exhibits work by the artist Banksy.[7][8]

Personal Life

Kabaka lives in London.[9] He is the son of avant-garde drummer Remi Kabaka.[10]
