History of the Raasiku manor house (German: Rasik) dates back to the Middle Ages. The manor house was built by the Padise Abbey for administrative purposes. The manor house was built in the 13th century as the first recordings of Cistercians' manors date back to 1266.

The manor belonged to De la Gardie noble family for a long time during the 17th century. Owners of the manor changed frequently after the Great Northern War. The Taubes, the Stackelbergs, the Bohns, and the Breverns owned the manor for a short time. Hermann Ludwig von Loewenstern got the manor in 1774 and his family owned the manor for 70 years. The manor belonged to the Sievers from 1843 to 1899 and to the Stackelbergs until 1919.

The main building was built in the mid 19th century. The main building was surrounded by a big park and a lot of outhouses. The building was burnt down in 1905. The ruins of the left wing of basement still remain. The right wing was rebuilt as factory. The Raasiku Electromechanics Factory built a lot of new buildings in the area of the manor in the second half of the 20th century. A lot of the old outhouses were rebuilt.

2 km(1.24miles) east the Raasiku railway station was built in 1870.
