The Puerto Rico Cup is a global invitational tournament for national teams in women's association football. Held annually in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, the 2019 Puerto Rico Women’s Cup will take place from 25 February to 6 March 2019, the same time as the Algarve Cup and the SheBelieves Cup.
All matches will be played in Mayagüez Athletics Stadium.
Draw
The draw of the tournament will be held on 28 November 2018. The eight teams will drawn into two groups of four teams. The hosts Puerto Rico will be seeded into Groups A.
Format
The eight invited teams are split into two groups to play a round-robin tournament. Points awarded in the group stage follow the standard formula of three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. In the case of two teams being tied on the same amount of points in a group, their head-to-head result determine the higher place.
