Provatkumar Mukhopadhyay (03 February 187305 April 1932) was a renowned Bengali author. He was born in Hugli, Bengal.His short stories are mainly based on real-life situations and his characters belong to the middle class families.Their hopes and aspirations, hits and sorrows are woven finely into his stories.

Works

Though Prabhat kumar Mukhopadhyay was a novelist, he was mainly a creator of short stories.

His literary works were included in the curriculum of school level, secondary, higher secondary and graduation level Bengali literature in Bangladesh.
