Iqrar Ahmad Khan

Iqrar Ahmad Khan is a Pakistani agricultural scientist and a professor of Horticulture at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.[1] He is serving as a Vice Chancellor for University of Agriculture, Faisalabad since February 27, 2008. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside. Khan has released a potato variety (PARS-70), pioneered the research on breeding seedless Kinnow and discovered two new botanical varieties of wheat. He was author of STED funded Citrus Nursery Project launched at UAF.[2] He was instrumental in developing international/regional mango research program to combat the sudden death of mango. He was disqualified by Lahore high court on Wednesday 9 August 2017 discreet (UAF) University of Agriculture, Faisalabad acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Iqrar Ahmad Khan from his job and ordered Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal its Pro-Vice Chancellor to look after the university's matters.[3]
