Priyanka Garkhede (Born: 13 August 1993) plays for Maharashtra Cricket. She has played 58 OneDay and 45 Twenty20 National Matches in Women's cricket Limited Over Tournament under Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI. She also played first-class cricket from West Zone. She currently plays for Maharashtra Cricket Association and West Zone in all three forms of cricket. She also headed captaincy for Under19 & Under23 Maharashtra Women's Cricket Team in year 2010 and year 2015 respectively. Her discipline is Right-arm Medium Pacer and she plays a strong role as All Rounder.

Early life and background

Priyanka was born to a worker family at Aurangabad in Maharashtra; her father was a worker and mother was a housewife. Her mother tongue is Marathi. Priyanka started playing cricket at the age of 4 and was picked for the Maharashtra team at the age of 12. Her brother played a key role in shaping her cricket career since it was difficult for her as a woman to start playing and consider cricket as a career. So far she has played National cricket for the Maharashtra Cricket Association team & West Zone team under the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
