Plerng Phra Nang (Thai: เพลิงพระนาง; RTGS: Phloeng Phra Nang; lit: Her Majesty's Flame; English title: The Royal Fire[2]) is Thai TV drama or lakorn aired on Thailand's Channel 7 from February 17 to April 15, 2017 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 20:30 for 26 episodes.
Summary
At Muang Thip (Muang Thip Country), Jao Nang Ananthip was stripped of royal title. Because of her father, Jao Luang Pitula was coup by Jao Luang Burapha Kham, who is elder brother of Jao Nang Sekkaradewi, she kept this resentment, and vengeance later. The cause of the loss of Muang Thip independence for the Westerners.

Criticism, impact and ratings
Plerng Phra Nang is a remake of a 1996 drama of the same name also produced by Kantana Group. The script was based on M.R.Kukrit Pramoj’s 1969 nonfiction book The Fall of the Burmese (พม่าเสียกรุง) and Prince Damrong Rajanubhab’s Journey Through Burma in 1936: A View of the Culture, History and Institutions (เที่ยวเมืองพม่า).[4][5]
In the version aired in 2017, before the drama will broadcast, there are comparisons of the costumes of the characters that are similar to Fan Bingbing in The Empress of China[6], and commented some scenes are unrealistic[7]. When it is broadcast, Soe Win the great grandson of last King of Burma (Myanmar), Thibaw Min, has interviewed the BBC that his family was unhappy about this drama. Although the plot of the drama is about a fictional realm. But almost all replicas come from the last year of the Konbaung Dynasty. In the 19th century, part of the drama was similar to the historical events. The case of the massacre of the consorts together to eliminate 100 royal family members and asked the Thai authorities to ban this drama. But Chitralada Disayanon, drama producer explained that the drama did not bring any country's history directly. There may be only some layouts that are narrative in Thai perception. The part that is linked from other national histories. It's personal right to comment, and reiterated that. This drama is based on imagination.[8][9]
However, there is a comparison of the characters as if they were real persons in history, such as Jao Nang Ananthip is Hsinbyumashin, Jao Lung Muangkoom is Mindon Min, Jao Nang Pinmanee is Queen Supayalat, Jao Maanfah is Thibaw Min, Upparat Kanaung is Kanaung Mintha and Jao Luang Burapha Kham is Tharrawaddy Min.[5]
The ratings for the finale of the broadcast are 9.037 and on average, the nationwide are 6.626.[2]
In addition, the word "Plerng Phra Nang" also ranked as the most searched word of Google in 2017 by Thais is the fourth and second place in the category of television program.[10]
