Play it again, Sam

"Play it again, Sam" is a misquotation of Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman), often incorrectly attributed to Humphrey Bogart in the role of Richard Blaine, to Sam (played by Dooley Wilson): "Play it once, Sam" from the 1942 film Casablanca.[1] It has been described as a "traditional quote", meaning "a slight misquote that nonetheless stays close enough to the original to attain currency".[2] The misquote was later used as the title of a play by Woody Allen, and in other films, increasing the prominence of the phrase.[1]
