Sucré is a dessert boutique that launched in New Orleans, Louisiana in April 2007.[1]

Location and history

Sucré is located on Magazine Street in the Garden District in New Orleans. Sucré (French for sugared[2])is owned by New Orleans restaurateur, and former Emeril Lagasse sous chef, Joel Dondis. Dondis partnered with pastry chef Tariq Hanna to open the boutique.[3]

At the time Sucré opened in 2007, it was the first dessert-only restaurant in New Orleans. Sucré serves plated desserts with custom garnishes in addition to confections such as flavored marshmallows, artisan chocolate bars, candied pecans, drinking chocolates, as well as hand spun gelato and sundaes.[4] They now operate in three retail locations in the French Quarter of New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana, and ship the majority of their products anywhere, USA via their website.
