Purupuruni or Phuru Phuruni (Aymara phuru dung,[2] "the one with a lot of dung", also spelled Purupuruni) is a mountain in the Andes of southern Peru, about 5,100 m (16,700 ft) high. It is situated in the Tacna Region, Tarata Province, Ticaco District. Purupuruni lies southeast of Pisacani.[1] It is formed by Pleistocene lava domes.[3]
Purupuruni and Palluta are complexes of lava domes. The rocks are dacitic with phenocrysts of biotite and plagioclase; they are overall fairly crystalline.[4]
