Phoebe (Greek myth)
In Greek mythology, Phoebe (/ˈfiːbi/; Greek: Φοίβη Phoibe, associated with Phoebos or "shining") was the name or epithet of the following characters:
- Phoebe (Titaness), one of the Titans, grandmother of Apollo and Artemis.[1]
- Phoebe, a hamadryad, one of Danaus' many wives or concubines, mother of several of the Danaides.[2]
- Phoebe, one of the Heliades.[3]
- Phoebe, daughter of Tyndareus and Leda, sister of Helen and Clytemnestra.[4][5]
- Phoebe (Leucippid), daughter of Leucippus.[6]
- Phoebe, one of the Amazons who fought against Heracles.[7]
- Phoebe, an epithet of Artemis.
- Phoebe, an epithet of Selene.
Also, Phoebe is a crater on Janus (moon of Saturn), named after the character from Greek mythology.
