The bluestripe darter (Percina cymatotaenia) is a species of fish in the perch family, Percidae. It is endemic to Missouri in the United States, where it occurs in the rivers of the Ozarks.[1]
This fish was an endangered species on the IUCN Red List in 1996. In a 2003 reevaluation it was downlisted to vulnerable status when the populations were determined to be mostly stable overall.[1]
The fish lives in small to medium-sized rivers with abundant floating and riverbank vegetation which it uses for cover. It prefers calm waters with little current.[1]
