Peramangalam is an Indian village in Kerala, 10 kilometres away from Trichur. The district highways connecting Kozhikode and Guruvayoor pass through this village. The famous tourist place Villangankunnu is on the south west side of this village. This village is an example of religious harmony. Peramangalam originates from the name Veeraramamangalam, which itself originated from Peralthrukovu Sreeramaswami Temple in the village. It is a part of Kaiparambu Grama Panchayat, bordering Adat Grama Panchayat.

Festivals

The Feast related to St. Sebastian is one of the most important spiritual and cultural activity here. It is celebrated in the month of January. It is often called as "Makaram Perunallu" [biggest holy procession in the thrissur district], it is called ARANGUTHIRUNNAL [Celebrated jan-24,25,26]. "Kavadiyatam" is another important festival that celebrated over here. This one also comes in the month of January. This festival is attached with Cheeran Kuzi Temple. The heart of Peramangalam is a vast place near to Thechikottukavu temple. There is a big baniyan tree in the side of a big play ground. Vijayamatha parallel college, is situated in the St. Marys church compound. There is a police station, and it is the headquarters of highway police. Initially a part of Thrissur town police circle and later part of Kunnamkulam police circle, now it has its own circle. Peramangalam village office is near the police station. There is famous Arts & Cultural Charitable Society[PACCS] situated in Peramangalam centre.
