Pegasus Capital Advisors L.P. is a private, alternative asset management firm providing strategic growth capital to middle-market companies focused on the sustainability and wellness sectors.

History

Pegasus Capital Advisors was founded in 1996 by its current Chairman and President, Craig Cogut. From 1990 to 1995, Cogut was a founding partner of Apollo Global Management, L.P.

As of December 2017, Pegasus’ investment strategy is focused on sustainability and wellness broadly, and within these themes, the firm concentrates on water, food, energy, waste, recycling, nutrition, brain health, the microbiome, among other sub-themes.[1]

Funds

Since 1996, Pegasus has raised five private equity funds and completed over 90 private equity transactions.[2] Pegasus’ typical investment size ranges from $50 to 150 million with controlling ownership. In many cases, the firm stages its investments to manage risk.[3]
