Paul Glover

Paul Glover (born July 18, 1947) is a community organizer, author, and former university professor currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Community work

He is the founder of the Ithaca Hours, one of the first local currency systems.[1][2] He is also the founder of the Philadelphia Orchard Project,[3] Citizen Planners of Los Angeles,[4] the Ithaca_Health_Alliance,[5] and several other organizations. He is author of several books on community economic development,[6] a former professor of urban studies at Temple University,[7] and Ecological Economics[8] at Philadelphia University.

He consults as Greenplanners[9] and speaks on community economic development.[9]

Travels

He walked across the United States, entirely on foot, in 1978.[10]

Political career

Glover was the Green Party candidate for mayor of Ithaca, New York, in 2003.[11]

Glover participated in the Green Party of the United States's Presidential primaries in 2004.[12]

Glover was the Green Party of Pennsylvania's candidate for governor in 2014.[13]

Glover is the Green Party of Pennsylvania's candidate for governor in 2018.[14]
