Paul “Poof” Tardiff

Paul A. "Poof" Tardiff (June 9, 1945 - March 13, 2018) was a historian in Berlin, New Hampshire, in the United States. He was the author of the three-volume series Once Upon a Berlin Time. He also wrote columns in The Berlin Daily Sun regularly.

Life and career

Tardiff was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on June 9, 1945. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1969 and fought in the Vietnam War. In 1971, Tardiff taught auto mechanics and welding for Berlin High School. He later worked with "at-risk" children.[1] During the 1990s, he began writing articles about the history of the Berlin area for The Berlin Daily Sun.[2] In 2003, Tardiff published Once Upon a Berlin Time I under AuthorHouse publishing,[3] which was followed by volumes II (2005) and III (2010).
